Hello, my name is Liz Houlton.

I am a Seattle based dance director, performer and producer. I’ve produced evenings at the Erickson Theatre Off Broadway, Velocity Dance Center, and the Seattle Center Armory and serve as the Dance Director for BenDeLaCreme's "Beware the Terror at Gaylord Manor." I’m currently dancing with Beth Terwilleger and The Gray, as well as Meredith Pellon. An alum of California Institute of the Arts, I graduated in 2015 with a BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography. I also organize the donation-based Class Xchange, a weekly dance class for professional performers to teach with peer feedback.

My goal in attending Seattle University's Arts Leadership MFA program is to grow as a more effective leader in Seattle's young arts scene. I hope to engage with donors, write compelling grants, and support artists in their craft. I'm happy to report that I'm able to do all those things with or without an MFA but I understand the career benefits in indulging with a more powerful network via Seattle U. Watching the art scene thrive with a growing, more expensive city is my ultimate wish. Understanding how to get there is my next challenge.
